Connect your Xbox Chat Headset, or try these steps:. Check the box next to Use Kinect microphone for chat. Note This is a system-wide setting, so turning it on here also enables the Kinect microphone for games and Skype. Party chat audio comes out of TV when headset is connected. Select Add or switch and select your profile. Game or app audio becomes inaudible during voice chat. If your active game or app becomes quiet or inaudible when you're using Kinect in party chat or on a Skype call, your Chat mixer may be set to focus only on the conversation.
To adjust the level of sound while communicating, adjust the Chat mixer settings:. In the Party widget , select the Party options … button and then choose Party audio. Drag the slider left or right to adjust the party volume. Check your audio device selection. Make sure your audio input and output are assigned to the audio device you want to use for party chat.
